I rarely let Dr's get ahold of me. I allowed my gall bladder removed several years ago and that was a trip. (Intern was Dr's son so he wouldn't intervene when he should have); 5 (maybe 6) procedures in about 3 weeks, 100 mile emergency transport through tornados touching down late one night by my son and his wife. Those little whipper snapper kid's who took care of me in the last hospital talked like I was 103, lol. WHAT?? You're on NO medication??? Sounded like half of them were.
And then one of the last anesthesiologists looked to be almost 100. What a ride...
I know people making all kinds of choices now.

American International Group is selling a 9.9% equity stake in AIG’s Life & Retirement business to Blackstone for $2.2 billion in an all-cash transaction. As part of this agreement, AIG also agreed to enter into a long-term strategic asset management relationship with Blackstone to manage an initial $50 billion of Life & Retirement’s existing investment portfolio upon closing of the equity investment, with that amount increasing to $92.5 billion over the next six years.
Separately, AIG and Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust (BREIT), a long-term, perpetual capital vehicle affiliated with Blackstone, also announced today that they have reached a definitive agreement for BREIT to acquire AIG’s interests in a U.S. affordable housing portfolio for approximately $5.1 billion, in an all cash transaction.
