I could imagine someone or organizations controlling things to a greater degree.  population control, food production control, healthcare control, etc.  Climates may change slightly over hundreds of years. But as we get closer to Christ's return upheavals and chaos is ineviteable. God could very well change the climate if He chose to.  The creation groans
Luke 21:11 - And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Mark 13:8 - For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

Revelation 11:13 - And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Matthew 24:7 - For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

2 Tim. 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

The fear of man is a trap
Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

Amen to all of that!

Climates change, have always done so. Entire civilizations vanish, others migrate.
Not that I've bought into man made climate change, and Especially Not the idea Government will FIX anything with new taxes but change is inevitable. The greatest change will be more governmental control, partly in response to citizens wanting government to be their god.
I see amazing opportunities for Christians to minister in the coming times. No other reason really to stick around.
