It says in Acts 2:
[11]
"we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God."
Again God opening the door to the gentiles in Acts 10:
[44] While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
[45] And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
[46] For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Acts 19:
[6] And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
When the Spirit of tongues comes on a person and they speak in tongues, they don't bring a message like "My little children, I've come to bring a message......." like some people do, but when it's the Spirit of God their words in tongues glorifies and magnifies God or prophesy, but the messages of instruction don't happen when you're truely speaking in tongues, the words magnify God.
The bible should always be the final word on everything holy, and the only examples tongues in the bible of people speaking in tongue are the verses above,
except the admonishment by Paul in 1 Corinthians 14 to control themselves,
1 Cor 14:
[32] And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
[33] For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
