I can't believe I keep putting this off.
I have a Cobra 1 WX ST. I want a good antenna with long reach. The cable I found has some negative remarks about quality but ok for the price. I don't see any costlier ones on amazon, which is my only option to get this done without forgetting it another year or ...
I don't want anything that will fail if needed. That will not be a time to try ordering a replacement.

This pertains to Auto's, Trucks and in-house Base Stations.
You must use the best high quality 'Braided-Copper-Cable' you can find and the Best Antenna I use and still use is a "Heavily-Grounded-Predator-Antenna"...But I still can't use it right now for my station because of heavy lightning and my close proximity to a huge transformer and a huge outdoor metal box/contraption of high voltage breakers. ((But You should be Good to Go, and even bounce off the ionosphere if not surrounded by the the kind of nonsense I have to put up with))
The Braided Copper cables can be found at most truck stops but most
only carry ChiCom copies of the 'Predator-Antenna' and they Will Not stand up to rigorous use or the elements, compared to the well made original.

Thank you!! Sounds like an original made will be challenging to find. Perhaps an older truck stop - thinking, thanks again.
